Transport & Infrastructure

Our Transport and Infrastructure team leverages the latest technology and a culture of innovation across the planning, design, and management disciplines to deliver connectivity, mobility, and resiliency to Australian communities.

Our recent project include Southern Programme Alliance - The Victorian Government's Level Crossing Removal Project is overseeing the largest rail infrastructure project in the state’s history. It will see the removal of 85 of Melbourne's most dangerous and congested level crossings by 2025. The project will also see the upgrading or building of more than 27 train stations, laying many kilometres of new track, and making associated rail improvements. Removing the level crossings will reduce risk for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists as well as creating new community spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy

What you’ll do:

Your path as an Electrical Engineer will be a blend of training and on the job learning which will enhance your professional, personal and relationship building skills, providing you with a wide range of development opportunities on your journey to become an emerging professional and beyond. You will:

  • Learn about the Rail sector and the fundamentals of Electrical engineering in the transportation industry, delivering excellence in designs that result in sustainable and resilient solutions.
  • Support and be part of a larger team working on front end designs and consultation for greenfield and brownfield projects incorporating engineering principles in accordance with the Australian Standards and Codes
  • Learn new skills such as design management and coordination, project management, client development, preparing technical documents and using different design software
  • Attend site meetings, site inspections, liaising with clients and internal stakeholders

About you:

You will need to be analytical, curious, and passionate about continuing your learning. This role with suit someone who is able to think critically, ask questions and take responsibility in finding solutions. You will also need to be comfortable engaging with clients and collaborators, partnering with them to understand their needs. To be considered please ensure you have the following: 

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Can demonstrate genuine interest in the transportation sector. If you have work experience or internship experience working in the transportation field, this will be highly flavoured.
  • Have a good level of confidence using Microsoft suites
  • Have full working rights in Australia
