Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
The team that I work in is very friendly and sociable. Everyone is very inviting whether they are going for a coffee or for lunch!

Great culture in office, very respectful and inclusive. After hours is the same. Great managers and support.

The culture is great. I've had no issues with anyone, and the organizational structure does not feel intimidating. Executive leadership team are nice to everyone.

Everyone is very friendly and willing to assist where needed. It is quite normal to have coffees and lunches with other grads and teammates. More senior staff tend to frequently be in meetings, so it is not always easy to find time to socialise with managers and other senior teammates. I think everyone is quite willing to catchup and answer questions if you are willing to organise ahead. Work-life balance is also very positive. It is rare that a grad will have to stay late, and there are no expectations of that occurring. Work hours are flexible, and I almost always go home on time.

Great flexibility, clear hierarchy for approvals but supervisors are all respectful, care for their team and support their development.

The culture in the office is positive, warm and welcoming, as a grad you are treated like any other member of the team, you have your home manager who is kind of like your mentor for the 2 year program as well as your rotation manager which changes with each rotation. Social events outside of work are also encouraged, it changes from team to team but team lunches and outside of hours catch ups happen at least once a month, as well as graduate specific social events.

Everyone is friendly and happy to help each other - safe space to share thoughts and feelings

The structure is great. The hierarchy is rarely spoken about to ensure everyone feels included and everyone respects that after work hours is time for yourself and you are never asked to stay back or stay on call during those times.

The culture in the company is good. Although again, this changes from team to team. Although, everyone is very friendly and supportive.

Culture is good although heard people making inappropriate comments and jokes more than once. Wish the men here took sexual harassment training more seriously because they still make sex jokes at work.

Company culture is respectable. After hours events maintain a professional setting. I have personally not experienced conflict related to company hierarchy. Due to the transient nature of our work, I am constantly working with new teams and people, and get along with most people well.

Very easy to get along with colleagues and asking questions. Regular catch ups for team coffee/lunches/dinner.

Everyone is extremely friendly and approachable. Everyone is always willing to help you out if required, or have a casual chat.

Really supportive team culture

I think the culture at Victoria's Big Build is really strong. Everyone is really friendly and down to have a chat. I have never had any issues meeting new people and just learning about what other people are up to and doing. I think especially there's strong relationships with my graduate cohort which has been super helpful settling into work.

Everyone I have worked with values the grad program and what it offers to new workers. I have found that they are wanting to involve you in work and expand your knowledge whenever they can and are supportive in teaching you and letting you have a go at new things, this has made me very comfortable and i feel very supported in the role. There is also a great connection between the graduates. Being paired with a buddy in the cohort above provides a casual connection with someone who you can go to for advice or just general chats. Also have found our grad cohort enjoy having lunches together when we work from the same office as well as organising catch ups outside of work.

Supportive and open to hearing opinions from everyone
Graduate, Melbourne - 27 Jun 2024
Good culture of flexibility and care in and out of the office. Varies from alliance to alliance and team to team, but largely positive.
Graduate, Melbourne - 27 Jun 2024
Friendly down to earth office environment. Pretty standard structure with grads, managers and directors, although everyone respects each other roles. Grads have been social out of the office when not limited but lock down. i.e., Friday drinks.
