Each year we offer Science and Engineering students paid 12-week projects to complete over summer (mid-Nov to mid-Feb). The project topics are all different but may include experimental design, statistical analysis, developing models or making recommendations. Nothing dull, and that's a promise!

Projects are based in our offices in Fortitude Valley or Ipswich, or at one of our Treatment Plants. If you're based at a Treatment Plant you'll need your vehicle, as there is no public transport.

To be eligible you need to be a current student at a recognised tertiary institution. You can be studying Science (Environmental, Biological or Chemical), or an Engineering degree (Chemical/Process, Mechanical, Civil, Environmental or Electrical). For us, it is less about your academic knowledge and more about your curiosity, your collaborative skills, your strong communication and your passion for the water industry.

Applications open online mid-year.

I feel like I look back every day and can see how far I’ve come since my first day but also how much more I have to learn.
