This Graduate role will work with Stockland’s Research team, consisting of employees recognised as deep, credible sector experts with diverse backgrounds in economics, commerce, business, property and land economics and geographic information systems. The team plays a pivotal role in building Stockland’s reputation as a market leading, research led organisation. This role will assist the Research team undertake strategic market analysis to ensure Stockland is anticipating emerging market dynamics and making informed decisions across capital allocation, acquisitions, developments, and divestments. The team has a broad remit across all core real estate sectors (i.e. residential, office, retail and industrial) and emerging alternative sectors (i.e. land lease, build-to-rent).

Responsibilities are varied; you will support the team to:

  • Conduct market analysis and generate actionable insights informing market outlook, acquisitions, developments, and capital allocation.
  • Prepare third party capital client updates and presentations. Monitor national and global real estate developments to ensure the business has a market leading grasp of on key trends across key sectors.
  • Develop and maintain House View and a variety of analytical models.
  • Identify new growth opportunities including new markets, sectors, products, and optimal acquisition strategies.
  • Where appropriate, contribute to the delivery of special projects, which may include:
  • Independent review of acquisition proposals
  • Capital management and corporate development initiatives
  • Key strategic deep dives and Board papers
  • Develop effective working relationships with other team members, share knowledge and experience and contribute to a high-performing team.

Requirements:

  • You are currently studying for or have completed a suitable degree within 24 months of the program start date, in February 2023.
  • We have a preference for applicants who have studied a degree in Property Economics, Economics, Commerce or a related degree.
  • Due to the permanent nature of this role, we can only accept applications from Citizens or Permanent Residents of Australia or New Zealand.
