The Department seems genuinely committed to parents having flexible work hours. A number of senior people in my area work flexible work hours in order to accommodate their children's needs, and still make meaningful contributions to the workplace.

The average age of persons in the department is slowly creeping upwards. There should be more opportunity for younger people to join the ranks, perhaps through additional graduates or general entry level positions. Gender balance is quite even, slightly skewed towards more women. Plenty of people from ethnic backgrounds, however the citizen requirement may hold many potential graduates back.

What does your company do to attract applicants from less privileged backgrounds?
The Department recruits based on university degrees and demonstrated skills based on the selection criteria. It is important to recognise that there are many ways for potential graduates to demonstrate their potential and graduates come to the program from a variety of backgrounds.
