About BDO

BDO is a trusted adviser to clients looking for audit, tax and advisory services. As one of the world's leading audit and accounting organisations, we have clients of all types and sizes across an array of industry sectors.

Our values are at the core of who we are and how we work with each other and with our clients. These values are the foundation of what we deliver, IDEAS | PEOPLE | TRUST. This is about delivering ideas and advice that create value; quality-driven people who are motivated by providing exceptional client service; and being trusted to get the job done.

About the Team

The People & Culture (P&C) team supports the firm to achieve the 'people' element of our vision, ensuring we have the right people for our clients and the right environment for our people. Our objective is to build a positive, high performance culture that attracts the right people and motivates, retains and develops our people to meet the needs of our firm's culture. Everything we do is about our people and helping them realise their full potential for their clients, whether those clients are external or internal to the firm.

Current Opportunity

In this candidate focussed role you will be representing the BDO brand in all interactions with candidates, regardless of their outcome. You'll handle the administrative component of the recruitment process and support specialist recruitment activities surrounding our campaigns.

Additionally, day to day you will be involved in:

  • Supporting our senior talent acquisition consultants in the screening of candidates
  • Providing a strong candidate experience with opportunity to think outside the box on how this can be enhanced – we're always open to ideas and improvements!
  • Coordination of end to end recruitment processes across various service lines
  • Support in the development of active pipelines
  • Fostering strong relationships within P&C and the wider BDO team through your exposure to a number of different business areas and teams

What you'll need to succeed:

We're searching for a career minded administrator with a passion for talent acquisition or talent management. A high level of organisational and time-management skills is needed in addition to exposure of a high volume environment. Ideally, you will have experience working in a complex organisation and able to prioritise your work accordingly.

A flexible approach to work will see you succeed. One day you could be working on end to end recruitment processes for busy service lines and the next, you may be assisting our team in student campaign processes, or using social media tools to identify potential talent to join our organisation.

This is a diverse role in a team which is fun, works hard and passionate about how we can continuously develop and improve whilst still tying this back to candidate attraction and engagement. This is all done while supporting business growth and needs.

What we will offer you

We offer the professional opportunities, personal fulfilment, and long-term growth that only a growing global firm like BDO can provide. We are committed to your ongoing development to build your technical, advisory, leadership, and management skills. We take pride in our health, wellbeing and workplace giving programs, as well as the range of social activities organised by each office. At BDO, we want you to enjoy what you do and the community of colleagues and clients you work with.

In addition to an industry competitive salary package, BDO offers a culture that emphasises career growth, professional development, collaborative culture, workplace flexibility and global opportunities.

At BDO, we value the difference and unique perspective of every individual. As a firm, we are committed to an inclusive culture, where everyone can be themselves at work in an environment that brings out the best in them and their colleagues. We are proud to be named an Inclusive Employer for 2019-2020 by Diversity Council Australia (DCA).
